Sail Date: Nov 2010
Cabin: Aft-Facing Large Balcony

Travelers: Myself age 33 and my wife age 32

Background: This is my 9th cruise and my wife's 12th. We have mostly traveled with Carnival in the past, but this is my second on NCL and my wife's third. Also under our belts is Princess, RCC, and Disney. We are not overly picky people and other than Disney World cruising is our vacation of choice. We booked the cruise extremely early(actually within a week of the 2010 itineraries being released). We booked through a travel agent(my wife) and used a previous future cruise credit from our last NCL cruise. Since at the time gas prices were so high we originally booked our cruise with air not knowing how it would pan out later. Because of future price drops on the cruise and air fares being reasonable we paid half of what we originally booked our cruise for. Plus I used miles for my airfare. We flew in 2 days pre-cruise from Michigan and a layover in Atlanta and flew back home the evening of embarkation. We stayed in the Waikiki area at Outrigger Reef and rented a car in every port.

Our Cabin: We booked an aft balcony room 8208. We wanted the larger balcony, plus longer time for the Na Pali coast sail bye. The room felt about the same size as some inside cabins that I have been in, but the layout worked well and it was more than adequate for the amount of time we spent in our rooms. Really it's Hawaii and it's port intensive, can't see being in the room much. Room was clean, the TV, fridge, and bathroom all worked, it was good.
