We left on this cruise with high expectations as Carnival has always dazzled us. We arrived at the port as VIP as we booked a suite on this cruise. We were able to go to the front of the security line and went right through. We were directed to the VIP check in. Check in was slow but there were many people checking in at the same time. We were under the impression that as VIP we could drop our carry on luggage in the room but we were told we had to go to Lido and could not get in the room until 1:30. My expectations begin to drop.

The room service for morning coffee on this cruise was a nightmare. The first morning they were late and we did not have sugar or the requested half and half.

The second morining they were late and we only had the cereal requested and had to wait for them to go back and get the coffee. The third morning they were on time, surprise, however the order was again wrong. On the fourth morning we had an early shore excursion and requested our coffee to be brought between 5:30 and 6:00 am. At 6 am when no one had showed I called and asked if we were missed. I was told it would be there in 10 to 15 minutes. At 6:30 I called again and was told that it would be on it's way. I was told that there were too many orders for my time frame to get it to me on time. I asked for the supervisors name, not to talk to them on the phone just for the name. They again told me that I picked a bad time and it was on it's way. I requested the name again. I was than asked if I could hold as the other phone was ringing. I told them no I could not hold I just wanted the name. I was than told that it was Mr. Junior Powell, that I could never get in contact with but I don't believe it would have mattered. Room service marginally improved after that but we were half way through the cruise and a lot of other guests told us they had given up on getting coffee in their rooms.

Cabin Review

We booked a suite. The bathroom is bigger than the balcony. There is an area I think they call a dressing room. Plenty of drawer and closet space. Not a better value for the money paid.
