First my Background information, I am a 28 year old who started cruising with my parents in my early teens and have been hooked ever since, I have lots of time on HAL and my preferred line is Celebrity for its food quality and general elegant feel. My Wife has been only on Princess and Celebrity and we felt that Celebrity was lacking in catering to activities for cruisers in there 20s and 30s and wanted to try something younger, hence RCCL.

We flew into Tampa from Seattle on the red eye on the morning of departure, not my favorite thing to since we were tired and had to worry if our bags would make it all the way through. Everything went fine and we took a taxi to the port, it was 25 dollars flat rate. I found this to be cheaper than ship and private transfers. Embarkation was unmemorable, which is to say it was fast and easy.

We found the Radiance to be in excellent condition, obviously not brand new but everything was clean and in as good an order as can be expected. There has been a lot of talk about the pluming problems on Radiance, I have to say that other than a very slight smell in the restrooms both public and cabin I would have had no idea if i had not read about it on CC. The last night our toilet did not flush right but on the third try it fixed itself. WE had already called to the but when engineers but when i called back to tell them it was fixed they sent someone any way just to be sure. SO they are very aware of the problem and I'm sure this will be a focus of the upcoming dry dock.
