Our first cruise but probably the last on IOS. Ship probably too big and crowded, 1800 cabins , over 4,000 peeps. Great for families. On the positive side the food, staff, attendant, evening entertainment, and ice show was superb. Some guests were a bit noisy/rude during a few shows, juggling comedian excellent. Cabin very clean , very comfy bed. Pre-paid gratuities were expensive. About 50% of guests were pensioners, most didn't seem to be enjoying themselves. About 10% kids, around 400.

The force 12 hurricane and 40ft.waves west of Spain/Portugal meant we had to miss Madeira, which was disappointing. Glad to disemnbark at Tenerife after 88 hours aboard. We liked Gran Canaria, one of only 2 days of sunshine though.

Could do with an indoor pool or cover over pool area.
