Embarkation was the only negative part of the cruise. We arrived at the Pan American port around 1:30PM. We had a large piece of luggage that had to be checked. The line was long and very slow. It took about an hour to check the one piece of baggage. The rest of check-in including security went quickly. Passengers arriving with their bags checked in at the airport did not have this issue. We arrived by cab and had to deal with this long line in the heat and humidity. It seemed unorganized and inefficient when compared to the rest of the cruise. Maybe just a bad day? Celebrity had crew members handing out cold towels and water to help the situation.

The rest of the cruise was outstanding. The itinerary was great. It starts out very busy with 5 ports in the first 5 days. The 1st day at sea was a welcome break. The ship rides very well with only 1 day of movement. This was our last day at sea when we passed 300 miles West of Hurricane Tomas. The Captain kept us well informed of the hurricane's position and impact our cruise. The impact was minimal.

The food was excellent in the dining room. Oscar our waiter was great. The buffet was good for breakfast and lunch. Many selections were available. Most passengers did not know about the food offered during breakfast and lunch in the aqua spa area on deck 10. We enjoyed the pizza, fish & chips, Mongolian and made to order pasta in the buffet area. We also enjoyed the condiments(M&Ms) in the ice cream bar.

Cabin C2

Great balcony, excellent room, somewhat noisy right across from the crew door for our cabin steward
