The ship was as per the name...Magnificent.....but it was for Italians not for others. There was a charge of 7 euros/day/person supposedly for tipping....the bar which was not cheap and also had a 15% service charge. For those who drink the following would be a surprise,,,vodka cola 6.70E & glass of Nebbiolo 3.60E

PLUS SERVICE CHARGE OF 1.55E = 11.85E...where I come from a little on the heavy side for what we had.Food wise not that entertaining as other cruises I have been on but base on Italian influence. If you did,nt like it you could visit other venues but you had to pay.The Theatre was beautiful and the shows were expensive to put on BUT not as entertaining as a good Brit Busker.THE DANCERS WERE VERY GOOD AT COCKING THEIR LEGS OVER THEIR HEADS BUT DANCE....NOOOOOOOOO. Out of 2500 passengers only a couple of hundred or so dressed for the Gala Night, the rest got dressed for a shopping trip.On one occasion prior to the first evening meal sitting a familly of 6 Italians were walking around in bathrobes?Italian children were not supervised by parents.Italians in lifts had little manners.I have a few Italian friends who live in Britain who do not act like this maybe the Brit influence has kicked in or???????If you like TV do not get excited...just American news programs covering Americans but the Germans, French and not forgetting Italians had a fair range of programmes.

Our main object was the visit to Istanbul which was excellent and the other trips were good.If asked to recommend this trip I would say 6 out of 10 when I believed I would be getting better.I will probably cruise British next time.
