As outlined above, trying to do the combined airboat and St John River trip was impossible due the cancellation by NCL. Trying to do them separately was impossible as they departed at the same time. We wanted to see the Everglades and felt we were short changed and the excursion was padded out with animals being shown to us from a rescue centre - why? Apart from the rescue centre needing the money of course. Probably should have gone to the Kennedy Space Centre! Surely a decent trip on an airboat could be arranged? Such a shame. Obviously there are the theme parks at Orlando, but it appears you would only get 5 ish hours there, ie only half a day. It seemed expensive for that length of time. 


Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We chose the Seahorse snorkel cruise. This was pretty good. Efficiently organised, decent equipment and colourful and varied fish. My husband was delighted to find an eagle ray. Only a slight problem - the fish are fed by the boat crew. This persuades the fish to swim right up to you. However, one of the fish bit my daughter. Not a major problem but unexpected! Water not that warm either. Would recommend this trip. 
Spent afternoon in Nassau. This was not the shopping experience I expected and not particularly attractive around the cruise ship terminal either. It is full of souvenir type shops and the usual jewellery shops. If you are European, the prices for Swiss watches were not good either. We knew what we wanted and nothing was cheaper. The problem of importing anything back into the UK is not worth it. 


Nassau

Good location, one of the cheaper cabins on deck 10 forward of mid ship, opposite the forward lift towers.  Quiet room however and balcony useful.  Liked the cabin position and definitely better than aft position when ship on the move at speed. Bathroom very small - be warned if you are tall or large! Bed a decent kingsize double.  TV old fashioned and small. In cabin bar expensive.

We also had a problem in that a couple of shore bookings we cancelled back in the UK were not received by NCL (eg snorkels on Great Stirrup Cay).Also enjoyed teas, coffees and less frantic breakfasts in the Great Outdoors Cafe right at the back of Deck 12.
