Traveled with children

If you are cruising with kids who like to do a lot of things AND have the money, DCL is a fairly good option. The service is good and the Oceaneer Club/Lab for the kids is great. One thing to remember if you sign your child up for Oceaneers is don't let them take off the RFID chip wristband for the entire cruise. They don't tell you at the Lab that you will be charged $50.00 if it gets lost.

The food leaves plenty to be desired. We were on a 3 night cruise and only one of my dinner entrees was acceptable. DCL's appetizers, soups, salads and desserts are excellent. The rest of the meal...not very good. If you want pizza, wait until you get back on land. The technology in the Animator's Pallet restaurant is very interesting (pictures change from black & white to color during the meal) and sometimes they are able to take your mind off the vibration of the engines a few decks below. As for the stipulation that men have to wear long pants to dinner, don't worry about that. There were many men who ignored this request and nothing was said. Also, formal night (tie, maybe coat) was anything but that.

The pools are small but the sound system for the outdoor movie is terrific.
