Quick Profile on My family. I am 31, My Wife is 39, We have 2 Hyperactive Children ages 3 & 6. I am a small business owner and my wife works w/ me. We are Upper middle Class on average. We are AVID Cruisers, we have ben on 7 Cruises in the last 2 years. We have sailed on Carnival's Conquest(2x), RCI's Voyager, Explorer, Navigator, and Grandeur. We have been on Norweigen as well. I am not going to Knock this boat however I am posting my feelings.

Embarkation: We flew into Fort Lauderdale the day prior to sailing just in case. We stayed at the Laquinta Suites Airport. Fair to average. We had the hotel shuttle take us to the Port. I had My mom, wife and 2 kids w/ me on this trip. I have read how easy and quick the embarkation process was and it was NOT that way for us, we went from line to line to line the embarkation process was approx. 1 hr and we went to the ship around 2:00 to avoid the crowds!!! Yeah Right. Very unorganized!!!

Ship: The ship is beautiful. I won't take that away from the Caribbean Princess! However, if you are expecting a large atrium, or huge glass elevators you are in for a surprise!!! This ship and probably the cruise line is, I feel, geared towards an older crowd. I just feel like it is a Diamond, where as, the other ships we have been on were not as ........... Fancy!!! I tend to enjoy the neons, and bright colors, and Fun, things to do onboard a ship!!! Hence Carnival and Royal Caribbean! A HUGE Problem on this ship is the elevator situation!!!! OMG!!! If you have a lack of patience don't even use the elevators!!!! Very Big Problem on this ship! Ship was very hard to navigate!!! Dining areas you get lost trying to find the Palms dining Room! The Kids Program was the highlight of the entire trip. They were very "hands on!" our kids loved it. Kudos on the Kids Club.
