This was a great cruise. It was our fourth cruise....second one with Carnival. We were sailing with 14 family and friends who had never cruised before, so i was nervous that they may not like it. Fantasy is an older ship, so I was worried about that too. Turns out, I had NOTHING to worry about! The ship was beautiful. The makeover Carnival gave this ship in 2008 really did the trick. The only place I could tell that it was an older ship was the windows. My kids loved the water slides. They were awesome. My daughter didn't like the pool though because she does not like salt water and the pool stayed pretty crowded. Camp Carnival was great. We took our 8 yr old by and dropped her off for a few hrs at a time here and there. She loved it. They had great activities for them to do. There were plenty of family shows and adult shows to choose from.
I wasn't crazy about the port. Charleston seemed like it wasn't really meant to house a ship of that size but they did what they could to make it work and we were on the ship very quickly. We parked our vehicle in a big empty warehouse.
Food was good, except for the tea. Tea was nasty.
