From the minute we stepped into the Limo to get to NYC, to the minute we walked into our home afterwards, we had a wonderful time! The Jewel was spotless, colorful, friendly and fun. The shows were great! Massimo & Aleisha (or whatever their names were) were AMAZING (she's an Olympic gymnast & dancer). They are a husband & wife team. She's gotta be a contortionist or has no tendons because she stretched & bent herself into all sorts of positions, while he threw her around the stage. It was great! Comedians from "Second City" were there. Their improv was wonderful and original - although some of their inner annoyances got in the way of their talent (like the spats between Cicily & Alex...). Another comedian - Steven Scott, also performed. He was good. We didn't go to the juggling act. Not something that sounds even remotely interesting to me or my husband. The food was good! Sushi was out of this world! Definitely worth the $15/person cover charge! The Blue Lagoon (free 24/7 comfort food)had great Buffalo Wings. Garden cafe - always packed but food is good. "happy happy, washy washy" The gym was small but nice. Never packed but we were there around 8am. Room Service breakfast was great. It was a wake up call to tell you they're on their way. Breakfast on the balcony, watching the sunrise is amazing! The last night of the cruise they had a 'Cirque de Bijou' that was great too! dancers, gymnasts, people coming down from the ceiling! The cruise director, Shonna needs to lay off the prozac. The ports: Port Canaveral, FL - nothing to do within walking distance, so if you're not going to a theme park in Orlando or taking the shuttle to Cocoa Beach... stay on the boat. Luckily I used to live there so we met up with friends and went to the beach. Great Stirrup Cay - NCL private island. A day at the beach. No problem finding an empty chair and we were the last group off the boat! Defiantly go snorkeling!! There's a lot of brightly colored fish under your feet! Bring your own snorkeling equipment & save yourself the $30 rental fee! They had a buffet of burgers, dogs, pizza & a bunch of salad stuff too. Nassau, Bahamas - GO TO THE PIRATE MUSEUM! It was fun. You do get hassled by a lot of locals, but they only ask once :) Bacardi store has amazing prices! Senor Frogs is close too! The straw market is a bit of a maze/pain in the neck. Everyone is trying to 'cut you a deal' and it's annoying when you hear them all bad mouth each other "no one else will give this to you for $50, I'll give it to you for $45" meanwhile the girl in the next booth just said the same thing for $20 less. whatever. The boat: we were on 10 AFT balcony. Was close to everything except Spinnaker lounge (which is 13 or 14 fwd). The pools were always packed (STOP reserving chairs at 5 am!!) Would've been nice if the kids pool (and the little boy who would stand at the top of the water slide and yell down to his friends, day after day)was far far away from the adult pool. We saw NO nickelodeon characters, probably because we purposely avoided any areas that they were having an event in. Look around for other sun decks - we found 3 that no one was on even though the pool was packed! nice and quiet by the basketball court.... (hint hint) Spinnaker Lounge has the best couch ever!! (the green one, shaped like a 'W') We are definitely going to be cruising again with NCL!

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony
Cabin B1 10668
balcony - 10 aft
decent size room for 2 people. any more and you wouldn't be able to walk! closet space was good for storing luggage & our clothes. 3 decent size drawers & 4 good size shelves as well. Bathroom was small but comfortable. 1 bed & a small couch in the room along with a few corner tables. Balcony is wonderful! Fit a lounge chair, small table & 2 deck chairs with plenty of room!

nothing to do within walking distance, so if you're not going to a theme park in Orlando or taking the shuttle to Cocoa Beach... stay on the boat. Luckily I used to live there so we met up with friends and went to the beach. Would've been nice to skip this one and spend another day in the Bahamas.
