My husband is 31 and I am 29 and we went to celebrate our 6th anniversary. We flew into Fort Lauderdale and caught a cab to the cruise terminal for 10 pp and took about 15 minutes. Once we arrived we handed our bags to the attendant and headed inside. The embarkation process is pretty easy and took about 15 minutes. We were in Aqua class so our line looked shorter versus the regular cabins but they seemed to move quickly as well. We ate at the Oceanview Cafe. It was very crowded and hard to find a seat but it was very nice. The food was great with tons of variety. By 3, our room was ready.

The cabin: We had a verandah room which at first seems small but really is pretty roomy for two. There was plenty of storage space, the bathroom was very nice with wonderful big towels, and the flat screen tv which you can pull out and swivel was great. Our room attendant Ronnie was great, I had fresh ice several times a day. The bed is nice and comfortable. We didn't have a pillow menu but someone brought a firmer pillow for my husband when I called. The upgraded shower is great, the only problem we had was the draining of the shower was a bit slow. Also if you guys can't take noise in the middle of the night I don't recommend the room we were in or take ear plugs. The Aqua spa cafe was directly above us and we heard banging and sliding noises almost every night (1 am, 3 am, 4 am, etc). We called and spoke to guest relations and our concierge Nick and they were very nice and helpful to resolve the issue or move us to another cabin. I found some info of noise at 7 am in the morning from others on cruisecritic before we left but didn't expect the noise at all different times at night. The balcony is great with wonderful chairs that recline. It was nice to have breakfast or just sit out there and watch the flying fish.

The food: I go on vacation to pretty much eat. We were expecting great food and for the most part we got it on this cruise. We ate breakfast and lunch mostly in the Oceanview Cafe. They have a wide assortment of food including asian, mexican, traditional American, carving stations, and more. I also noticed that most of the pastries and desserts were very good. They said that most everything is made from the scratch on the ship. We ate in Blu several nights, which was really good. They have a wide variety of choices throughout the week and is everything is pretty tasty. My husband had a fillet mignon, homemade pasta, and new york strip. I had so many entrees I can't remember but it was all good! On the last night I asked if it was okay to order something from the main dining room menu and our server Chris said that it was not a problem. One night I was waiting for my coffee and it took a little longer than usual and our assistant server Katrina came over and apologized profusely. I told her it wasn't a big deal at all and I wasn't in a rush. They really do an awesome job to please everyone. We tried all the 3 specialty restaurants for dinner. Our favorite was Tuscan for their great view and wonderful food. My husband said the ribeye was fantastic, I had the lamb chop which also was fabulous. The cioppino was excellent with shrimp, mussels, and fish. Murano was good also but a bit heavy. They have cold water lobster so it's very popular. We thought the lobster was okay, not a big fan of cold water lobsters. But everything else was good including the foie gra, which was a surprise for me. If you are interested in Murano, I would book very early, they seemed to book up fast unless you like eating at 9:30 pm. Silk Harvest had great small plates and appetizers. Loved the crab wontons, chicken lettuce wrap, and the solstice roll. All three had excellent service and I felt like I had to be rolled out of each restaurant. They are definitely worth it if you don't mind the extra money to go to them. I also had a gelato at the Gelateria and it was creamy and yummy. The pizza on the ship was also very good. We ordered room service several times during the night and each time it was hot and delicious.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 1

Cabin A1

great reclining chairs in the balcony, plenty of room for storage, great shower head, nice design of bathroom, right by elevator (a good thing), right above aqua spa cafe (bad thing, VERY NOISY at different times of night)
