We just returned from a 4-day cruise to Freeport and Nassau with one sea day. We were very fortunate in that we had perfect weather the whole time. There were 18 people in our party of diverse backgrounds, most of whom were first time cruisers. This was a good ship for individuals or groups with limited funds, although the ship did take advantage of every opportunity to make extra money with lots of photographs, promotion of the casino, and charges for soft drinks, etc. When we got into our cabin, I found that our bathroom sink was completely stopped up. I called maintenance and left the cabin. When I returned about an hour later, the drain had been cleared, but was left a bit dirty.

The negatives: Food was poor in the buffets and mediocre in the dining room. The floors of the public areas and the pool deck were dirty and sticky. Smoking was allowed in many of the public areas, making it difficult to get away from. Some of the more popular areas (disco, casino, pool deck, walk-throughs) were uncomfortably crowded at times. The layout of the ship was confusing on some floors as you would meet a wall in the center of the ship and couldn't go to the other end without going up or down. Service was seriously lacking. No free appetizers or champagne like on the more upscale ships. Cocktails were weak and poorly made.Dining room had early and late seating rather than the freedom to dine when desired.

The positives: Initial cruise fare was low enough to take a group. Glass elevators and bright atrium with festive neon lighting in the center of the ship. Great entertainment with good dancers, singers, and beautiful costumes. There was a Russian couple that performed ballet in one of the shows that was outstanding enough to perform in Cirque du Soleil. Ship-commissioned buses available from Lucaya Marketplace in Freeport and Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island (although we had to get our own transportation to those places without a shore excursion). Shore excursion choices were good and fairly reasonably priced.
