I wasn't expecting much but a 5 day quicky vacation. All we wanted was to do nothing and relax at a beach. Mission accomplished and more! I love the anytime dining! We wanted a table for 2 and that was no problem! We were sat very quickly too. I was surprised by the Carnival's main dining....the food was great! I was worried because we we boarded I was severely disappointed by the buffet. Never really warmed up to the buffet either. The pizza was horrible. Kudos to Princess and RCL for their Pizza. I do like that the Elation had a Stir Fry and Rotisserie chicken section set up on the pool deck. I liked that idea! We did eat there a few times. The service in the dining room and our room steward was great. The beds were a little hard but I was so tired by the end of the day that I had no problem sleeping. We only went to a couple of shows. Both were comedians. They were pretty good but cannot comment on the other activites as we wanted to do a lot of nothing. Ports of Call: Progresso.....ok, but not great. Cannot truly enjoy having a few beers at Buddy's because you are constantly SWARMED by peddlers. It got a little annoying after the same guy asked me to buy his noisemakers/fans for the 15th time! Cozumel: Loved it! Went to Nachi Cocum, which is a little bit of paradise! Worth the money and can't wait to go again! LOVED the waterpark area on the back and the Serenity Deck. LOVED LOVED LOVED the Serenity deck! No kids and no smoking! :)

Ship Negatives: WAY to much smoking. Smelled it everywhere we went. In the hallways by the staterooms, main corridors, all over the outside decks.....everywhere but the dining rooms and main show lounge. I've never noticed it that bad on RCL or even Princess. Even saw some guy flicking his butts off the side of the ship even though it was plainly stated NOT to. I hate coming back to my stateroom smelling like an ashtray after sitting on the NON smoking side of the lounge area by the aft lounge bar to watch Sunday football. Need to tighten up the restrictions or improve the filtration Carnival. PLEASE!
