This trip's itinerary was great; the smaller size of the ship meant fewer lines for everything we wanted to do. The production shows and entertainment were top notch. Food and service in the Horizon Court were not as good as larger Princess ships on which we have traveled. E.g. Service in the Horizon Court area was almost non-existent; food selection was not that great. Whereas I liked and appreciated the smaller size of the Sea Princess, compared to the larger classes of Princess ships, it was a disappointment in the overall quality of staff and food. At some times, I felt like staff were on this ship as a "punishment" or put here as a place to improve given the overall lack of enthusiasm for their jobs. For an older ship, it was very clean and well maintained EXCEPT for the non-functioning elevators. I really liked the smaller size and numbers of people on this ship! People traveling on this ship seemed very friendly and laid back. Perhaps this is because it was an older crowd of retired people. The food in the dining room was far superior to the food in the Horizon Court. The Maitre'd, Fabio, was extremely helpful and gracious. The casual grill on the Lido Deck 14 served great french fries and hamburgers. The production shows were the best we have seen on any Princess ship. The quality of the 1 male and 1 female lead singers was outstanding. Dancers were very good and enthusiastic. An on-board naturalist provided excellent hour long lectures as well as informative commentary as we traversed the Seymour Narrows area. The on-board bridge lecturer was very good.

Cabin BB

A345 on the Aloha deck is a very small cabin with an equally small balcony. The closet space was well designed and ample for us. E.g. Staggered rods in closet and swing out closet bins helped us organize our clothes. Navigating the bathroom was an interesting adventure when taking a shower. The laundromat was just 5 doors down and the main bank of elevators was just 4 doors down from us. The hallway was quiet except for the room service carts that came in through the door right across from us.
