This was our third trip in as many years on the SKY, 4th with NCL and our 12th cruise overall. Each time we have gone it has been the same time of year and usually OV but upgraded to a balcony this time, only because we had a credit. A key point about the credits that NCL is currently offering - They are now only good on 6 day or longer cruises. Because of this we decided not to go for the credit this time ($250 deposit for a future cruise yields $100 instant credit)

We are mid 50's empty nesters and pretty much just like to 'chill'. We're not partiers and not big drinkers, but enjoy the 2 for 1 martini special. The ship is very well maintained ad totally love the experience. Service this time was the best we've ever seen. On our last NCL cruise we opted a couple of times for the premium restaraunts but I honestly can't justify the extra $ for food that really isn't any better than what is served in the main dining rooms. And the food is excellent! Most of our meals werre eaten in the dining rooms preferring the calm atmosphere to the chaos of the buffet.

With each trip though we are noticing more and more cutbacks. They stopped the welcome aboard champagne last year and this year noticed that they no longer have a live band in the theatre. The shows and music are still the same but always enjoyed the live band. The comedian is still the same guy but unfortunately so is much of his material.
