This was our 2nd time at Grand Cayman and we chose to do the exact same excursion, only this time we brought a few of our friends with us. We chose to do the Stingray, Hell and Turtle Farm experience through Carnival.    
We rode in a very well air-conditioned van. There were 21 of us in this group. We went by the Governor's house, the banks, the Old Homestead and then headed to Turtle Farm. Our guide was extremely informative and made our experience exciting. We got to hold some turtles and get our pictures taken.     
We then left the turtle farm and headed to Tortola Rum Factory where we sampled every kind of rum cake that they had and even had several tastes of Rum. I am not a big rum person, but loved the cakes, and a "eggnog" like rum mixture that they had!!     
Then back on the bus and headed to the boat to take us to Stingray City. We were on the PeaceMaker with Ron & Rodney, two brothers that were absolutely awesome. They had life vests, and snorkel equipment for those who chose to use them. They also provided water and watermelon punch for free as well.    
We swam and snorkeled and kissed and rubbed the stingrays and learned lots of information about their sizes, habits and even how to feed them. This was by far my favorite thing to do in the world....and why we chose to do this for a second time.     
If you get a chance to go to Grand Cayman, you must go and see the stingrays!  

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Roatan was somewhere I have always wanted to visit. I booked the excursion with Victor Bodden for our group of 5.    
Walking up the hill was a little tough on my husband's bad knees but it was worth it to get to the top and have a very well air-conditioned van to ride in. Our guide was Al and he was every informative and courteous.     
He took us to one of the highest points of the island at 850 ft above sea level. This was a resort that they are continuing to build the area on. It overlooked the new golf course on one side, and the bay on the other. Truly a magnificent view!    
After that, he took us touring the island and we stopped at Parrot Tree Resort which is a private resort. Our group decided to stay there for a while, but my husband did not wear his swim suit. No worries, Al took him back down the way to the Megaplex and they bought a swimsuit and we got Honduras money in change (less than $2.00 USD) We paid the $10pp cost and put our things under the canopy and went swimming in the ocean. They had straw covered canopies along the beach with tables & chairs for everyone. There is a beautiful fresh water pool, and canopy beds to lay on. It was PARADISE!!!     
After 2 1/2 hrs at the resort, we finished our trip with going to see the infamous monkeys. They were awesome and loved sitting on my husband. I got to hold the triplet babies that were about 4 1/2 months old. They showed us the toucans, a papaya tree, and some awesome Macaws. They had some beautiful jewelry that Victor's wife made & sold. I came away with 1 necklace, 5 bracelets and a pen.    
Next we went to the butterfly place. They were nice, but not for the $7.00pp they charged for entry.    
We have all decided that when we return to Roatan, we will stay at Parrot Tree Resort.  

Roatan

Cave Tubing in Belize!    
We booked this excursion through Major Tom and were NOT disappointed in the least!!    
We rode in a bus about an hour, all the while being entertained and educated by our guides, Mogli, Miguel and Alena. Once we got to the cave tubing site we were introduced to Major Tom who said he would be popping up here and there.    
We all donned our inner tube with life jacket attached and walked about 30 min through the beautiful but hot rain forest. Mogli scaled a tree looking for some kind of fruit. There was also a termite nest on a tree that they dared someone to eat a few from. Well, seeing how I wolr for a very large Termite company, I could not resist. Kinda crunchy, tastes like mint leaves. Co-workers at dinner that night could not believe I did that LOL.    
We reached the waters edge and all settled into our inner tubes with life jackets on, and linked up like a chain to get ready for the journey of our lives.    
Butts Up! We had to have butts up whenever it was shallow water with protruding rocks so that we did not get scraped or injured. Sit back and float along while your guide pulls you along. You get to see with your headlamp on, the beautiful sparkling caves, the rock formations, bat holes and even a waterfall.    
This was by far the best experience ever. One of the ladies in our group could not swim, and was terrified of thinking about this experience, but Mowgli our guide was awesome and took especially good care of her and our group.    
We also purchased lunch and had BBQ chicken, baked beans and macaroni & cheese. I had a strawberry Fanta which was yummy!!!    
What a wonderful time we had and would definitely do it again.  

Belize City

We had cabin 7182 and our friends had 7184 on Carnival Legend. They were adjoining rooms and connecting balconies. They were conveniently located mid ship and we were always near an elevator. 

These were 8K extended balconies and we loved them. We will definitely get these rooms again!

I so miss those naps :-)    
We watched alot of the shows, "Jazz Hot" and New Orleans show "The Big Easy" were awesome as well as the Physical Comedy of Max Winfrey, a must see!Once on board, we headed straight to the Guest Services to request the balcony partition between our cabin 7182 and our friend's cabin 7184 to be opened, which they did the next day.
