The Sky has a very different scale from what I am used to seeing on cruise ships. Primarily, the center atrium area is a very small circle. The pools and restrooms are tiny as well. Most bathrooms have only 2 stalls so be prepared to wait in line!

I liked being able to show up for dinner whenever I wanted, however, I did not like the lack of a dress code in the dining room. There wasn't any formality to the dining at all. When I take the time to dress up after time on the beach, I do not want to sit with folks that haven't combed the sand out yet.

We spent the money to go to Cagney's for dinner the first night. It was okay but not exceptional. For the money, I would stay in the main dining room next time and order a bottle of wine! Oddly enough, even in the specialty restaurant, the desserts seem to be mostly gelatin based. Even the cheesecake had a "no bake" quality to it. The other desserts included mousses, flans, creme brulee and other jiggly things. I don't think I saw a single dessert the entire trip that required teeth to eat it. Odd, huh?

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin IB

This cabin was in a great location near the elevators and directly below the pool deck. It was quiet and cold. The beds were somewhat hard but the room steward was able to bring a mattress pad that made them more comfortable. This cabin had a very small closet and only a few tiny drawers. Luckily, we were able to shove everything under the bed!

We never did meet our room steward! They don't schmooze you like on other lines because the "service charge" is not negotiable.
