Having taken dozens of cruises on-RCCL, NCL, Celebrity, QE2, and Silver Seas, our most recent cruise on Holland America's Veendam, was "perfection". The special treatment in the "suite category" is by far, the best experience, of any of the previous lines, we have been on, to date. Everything, from the moment we arrived, at the pier, in NYC, was a joy. The entire crew, was exceptional. Leaving no stone unturned, as to our comfort, our needs, and enjoyment. We also found the ship (recently refurbished), to be quite beautiful, and easy to find yourself, around. We only ate in the main restaurant one night, but the food and service were wonderful. The specialty restaurant, "The Pinnacle Grill", where we ate most nights, was fabulous, in every possible way. The staff treated us like it truly was their pleasure to take care of us, and the food was of a gourmet quality. Our cabin steward, went above and beyond, in taking care of us and our cabin. The crew in the Neptune Lounge (another suite perk), was a wonderful added bonus, providing us with ever changing snacks, all day long, special coffees, ice tea and juices. They also took care of booking any excursions, and disembarkation procedures. And, of course, being in Bermuda for four days, is always wonderful. Take this cruise, and smile for seven days straight.
Spacious, and beautiful.
