My biggest gripe was the food and entertainment areas are too small. There is the Lido buffet which was almost impossible to find a seat in at peak times. The Queens room is where the Gala Nights happen however about 25% of people were left in the corridor or a seating area at the other side of the corridor away from the Queens room. The Queens room simply does not cope at any peak time.
We had Cabin which was an excellent location to get to the Lido Buffet. The room was very good. No noise from either room each side, or the external part of the ship BUT, the cabin crew or guests would come past our front door, talking loud early AM or late PM and wake us up. Take a can of Glen 20 as the bathroom smells the same as on a plane with the same toilet system. The crew were OK, not over friendly but not rude. One guy at the purses desk was in the wrong job, very rude. TIPS, I think it is a con to bill you a set $ amount regardless of the crew performance, there should be an option to pay one of three level amounts depending on what your experience was. I will tip for better than average service. The reason tips are a con is it allows the cruise line to pay crew a basic wage. Then if a ship is say 3/4 full, the crew only get 75% worth of tips, So the crew wear part of the loss for the ship not being full. Good trick if you can get away with it in my book. The food was good both at Lido and Britannia. The question is, would I do it again, 100% yes.
