What a memorable trip! We had high expectations, and the Paul Gauguin exceeded those expectations. We booked the Aug 14, 2010 cruise of 10 nights with a pre-cruise stay at the Intercontinental Tahiti and our excursions on-line. The air travel and transfers were effortless.

The pre-cruise stay allowed us time to unwind from our trip from the East Coast for 2 days and enjoy the pools, restaurants, bars, and Polynesian show before boarding the ship. We loved our stay at the Intercontinental-the resort is beautiful.

All the terrific things that you read about the Paul Gauguin hold true. Our cabin was lovely, and we especially loved the balcony! The restaurants were marvelous with La Veranda being our favorite. The service on the ship was exemplary on every level - maitre d's, chefs, servers, bartenders, housekeeping, room service, front desk, concierge, tender staff, etc...all top-notch. The excursions were great fun, and the beauty of French Polynesia was breathtaking.
