We're a family of 4 from Canada, who have never cruised and some of us haven't been overseas. We sailed the Mediterranean on August 7th, 2010.

We were quite apprehensive about sailing, flight, ports of calls - you name it. We had read a couple of negative reviews about the Brilliance of the Seas' food, etc., crime at ports, etc. and weren't expecting much. We are pretty picky about food, within reason - We were nervous that the food would be so bad that we would be forced to pay extra for the specialty restaurants.

The food at the Minstrel Dining Room was very good - the only minor complaint I had, which I kept to myself, is that the salmon tasted frozen and top sirloin steak was a little tasteless. The lamb shanks, loins, other fish dishes, pork, etc. were prepared very well. The deserts and appetizers were very tasty - didn't love the clam chowder. Our servers were always willing to get us extra dishes, if we asked, and we were able to bring food to our room if needed. In short, they were very accommodating.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

7018 - awesome balcony - much larger than expected - deep and wide - room itself has little couch, nice double+ bed - slept like a baby. Great closet. kettle for tea, etc., hairdryer, toiletries (shampoo, soap), vanity area, table, chair, TV, drawers, 3 piece bath with good counter space and storage area.

7016 - same
