Our first cruise, husband and I, we are in our late 30s. We began by attempting to stay at Holiday Inn Rocky Point, however, right after checking in, the fire alarms went off and a bad smell of carpet burning had us running. We ended up at Hilton Garden Inn, Ybor City. Great location, decent room, hotel.

The front desk staff advised we go to the port around noon -- very bad idea. It was complete chaos by then. We managed to catch a cab with another couple. Never saw them again after that though.

The lines were crazy long. It took about 3 hours to finally board the ship. We had lunch right away in the Unicorn Cafe. The salad bar was the best part of the buffet in my opinion. I thought the other foods were lackluster.

Extended Balcony

Cabin 8K

I loved our cabin. It was perfect for 2. We put our luggage under our bed. We stocked the mini fridge with sodas and made our own drinks using travel mugs. The bathroom was small but worked just fine. Ample closet/drawer space. The balcony really was the high point of this cabin. The bed was extremely comfortable.
