We stayed 1 night at the Holiday Port of Miami. Great location, average room size no complaints! Took a cab to the port and arrived by 10:30. We were checked in and on board by 11:30. Headed to the pool and enjoyed the sun and water until we got hungry. Hit the Windjammer around 2:30 and had a nice meal. Rooms were available by 1pm, muster (no vest required) was 4pm, sailed away at 4:30. One bad note here was the septic/waste odor while in port. It was noticeable on the pool deck but nearly deadly during muster on deck 4 (or 5). I also noticed the smell mid ship deck 7 during the week while sailing. Obviously a plumbing problem that pops up occasionally since I have read about it on these boards in the past. First day at sea we had no problem finding deck chairs after we ate breakfast in the Windjammer and went to the gym for a workout (excellent facility!). The rest of the time we ate breakfast in the main dining room. Lunch was either the Windjammer or Sorrento's pizza. We had late seating and other than an issue the first night when another family just plopped themselves at our table which caused us to have to relocate and miss the first night with our wait staff, we had wonderful service and good food. We did not eat at any of the specialty restaurants. I did order 2 bottles of wine to be delivered to our room prior to embarkation and they were there when we got to our room along with 2 wine glasses and a cork screw. Entertainment was abundant although we did not enjoy the 1st production show and did not attend any others. Ice show tickets were needed and sold out quickly- we missed the boat on that one! Adult comedy was terrific, Quest...what can I say? Great time! Service overall was excellent. I ran into 2 cranky servers the morning after the late night party- I chalked that up to them being exhausted. Cabin attendant Wilbern was awesome. Waiter Sing and his assistant Jilmer were outstanding. Public areas were really nice but I have seen prettier main and adult pool areas. I never really felt crowded other than at the main pool on a sea day and tendering out to Grand Cayman. Ports- Labadee was beautiful but not great in terms of beaches. I like white sand and easy entry into water- rocky entry for sure. Food good, staff good, Labadoozie....YUMMY!! Jamaica- Margaritaville- Loads of fun!! We climbed the falls last time we were there so this was the only reason to get off the ship. I do love Margaritaville!! Grand Cayman- Royal Palms on Seven Mile beach. Beautiful beach, attentive staff, and then the monsoon came! Shortened our day there but I can't wait to go back!! Cozumel- Paradise Beach- murky water but very nice facilities. Excellent staff. Lots of fun. Debarkation- carried off our own luggage and we were at the airport by 7:30am. Note of caution- cabby's trying to rip you off!! 1 guy wanted $60 to the airport and it had cost us $30 to get there. State your price!!
