As noted in the title. My wife and I are Celebrity people, but the itinerary finally created our first trip on Royal. Also, we are empty nesters not traveling with children. Keep these two factors in mind since they heavily influence our opinion.

Overall - Great cruise, great trip, and a great time. Would do Royal again but will lean towards Celebrity. We did have an itinerary change due to a strike in Le Herve. Disappointing but not Royal's fault. We went to Vigo Spain instead. I felt Royal handled it well.

Boarding - We took the train down from London to Southampton. Easy, quick cab ride over. You could walk, but I didn't want to hurt my back with all the luggage. Getting on board was a breeze. Time from arriving to being on the boat was less than 15 minutes

Bilbao

Port and town are far and you have to pay for a shuttle.
