First time on Hal. The zuiderdam was in need of repair. The nice benches by the elevator had been damaged and were in dis- repair Stayed in a local hotel the night before and we got in so late and had to get up early, it was a tough start. We were bussed tot the ship and when we got there it was chaotic trying to identify our bags. There was no one to help but the porters and they werr just loking for a tip to give out info. Once we figured it out and got to registration, it went smoothly.

Cabin seemed small at first but fine for two people. We quickly put everything in the closer and went to explore the ship. The stewards were very attentive. Food was good and we ate in pinnacle grill twice, excellent experience. The regular dining room was fantastic for food and serrvice. We were always asked if we wanted to join others at a table, very accommodating and we met so many great people.

The shore excursions were wonderful. Don't miss the umbera Indian visit. Mom is late 70's and made it easily. The rain Forest cruise was wonderful, got lots of great photos.
