Currently on cruise number 25 or 26 but first on P&O. To start on positive the internet is the best we've experienced at sea and the food in main restaurants is excellent, amongst best we have had at sea (apart from the buffet which is amongst the poorest). The main problem with the ship, part from it being very very dated, is that the logistics, moving and organising people is just utterly ridiculous. A few examples. ONE, arrived nice and early asked where to park and despite having an Acadia sign in window of car was directed to the Iona car park despite double checking THREE times with staff. Wasted an hour and half. TWO, First two nights, 40 min and 50 min wait for table. Never had to wait so long on any ship but as they run set dinning alongside free dining it just does not work (many complaints around this). One night two hours at table to complete service, which we had to hurry along and ask for basics like steak knife. THREE, in dock only one gangway for passengers and staff leaving or returning to ship, the result yet again more queuing. FOUR, First tender stop was chaotic. After all tours where prioritised we could get a ticket to leave the ship at 10.30am. We eventually got call for our tender after 1pm, over two and a half hours later. Again a major problem for obvious reasons with passengers, however not a hint of apology for the slow process. Logistics are the main problem and widely agreed by many as really poor. The staff are generally okay although I can't but think if tips were added that there would be a little more rapport with staff etc as they are incentives as with other cruises. Cabin okay apart from disgusting remote control that had never been cleaned and bath not running away due to blocked plug with hair etc!! So if you like queuing and feeling frustrated on holiday this is the ship for you. The term brewery and organising a drink come to mind with P&O but we learn and never ever again.
