What a wonderful vacation! My husband and I already can't wait to do another Alaskan cruise!

We started our vacation by flying into Seattle the night prior to the cruise. I highly recommend this if you don't purchase the cruise ship insurance protection, because it guarantees that you will be on the ship for it's departure. The ship actually didn't leave on time, because it had to wait for roughly 50 passengers that flew in the day of, but had a flight delay. Princess waited for them before disembarking because they booked through Princess and were protected under the insurance. If they had not been, the ship would have left without them.

We like flying in the night before, because it only adds a trivial amount of funds to the trip and you get to experience the city beforehand. We usually will find a basic hotel that offers a shuttle services between the airport and also the port. This trip we stayed at Red Roof Inn, which, for $99 included the hotel room, the shuttle from the airport, and the shuttle to the port the next day! And because the shuttle leaves to go to the port at 11am, we were one of the first on the cruise ship. It was so fun having that time to explore the ship and learn where everything was.

Cabin Review

Cabin K

B317. For an inside room, it's everything we expected. Tiny bathroom, but not really something we were concerned about. Loved the bigger closet for our clothes. The bed wasn't very comfortable. They were literally twin cots pushed together, so the springs would leave my husband and I sore in the morning. Good location though. Not too close to the elevators and all the traffic. Didn't feel a lot of rocking from the ship either due to the location (I've heard it's best to be in the middle of a ship as far as rocking is concerned)
