All in all this was a GREAT cruise! The crew and the food were outstanding. I guess last years' GWV left a lot to be desired and HAL really listened. There were TONS of special food events and parties and other fun things. The Super Bowl party was over the top excellent. The overall entertainment was really good. Plenty of guest speakers and local entertainers. The GWV band was PHENOMANAL especially when they were allowed to "do their own thing". The ship is showing its age a little but it never broke down and was always being maintained. Due to the situation in the Middle East, the Red Sea/Suez canal part of the trip was changed to Africa and around the Cape of Good Hope. We were a little disappointed at first but HAL really made it up with a very generous FCC that can even be applied to GWC 2026. We had a Signature Suite and our stewards were great as usual. One area of improvement may be to have some shore excursions exclusively for mobility challenged guests so as not to inconvenience those who are more able bodied. (The mobility challenged folks would like it better too.) This was starting to become an issue but the Shore Ex staff handled it as best they could. A special shout out to Kimberlee Wells the Cruise and Travel Director. In 128 days I never saw her be anything but cheerful, helpful, nice, kind, professional and FUN! She is truly one of a kind!
