Our first transatlantic cruise! There were only 2 nights mid Atlantic where we needed sea sick pills because of 40 foot swells. We were unable to stop at Bermuda because of a storm, so we were 6 days at sea. It went to fast. Between working out, massages, great lectures, and of course the awesome food, we were very busy.

Our cabin was beautiful and spacious. The service on the ship is top notch. The buffet for breakfast and lunch gets very crowded, and now because of covid they have to serve you everything and they seem short staffed on the servers. They did have one night at the buffet restaurant where the chef made a Spanish Food Extravaganza, and it was terrific in every way. The specialty restaurants seemed even better than the other 4 Oceania cruises we've been on. Polo seems to have been given a real lift to make it top notch dining.

The afternoon tea has problems, mostly beause they have two waiters who roll a big cart of goodies for the whole tea, and you have to flag them down and is not efficient. The music, quartet and the band were top notch and a wonderful aspect of the cruise.

Port Reviews

Beautiful clean city. Fun to walk around in and shop.

Took an excursion way up into the mountains to Abujarra.

A beautiful town built into the hillside, all white like Greece.

Very nice shops.

Unfortunately Nassau is ruined by so many cruise ships. There were 5 there

and the crowds make it uncomfortable. It isn't a very nice place to walk

around. We walked the 65 step staircase. There's a fort at the top which

you have to pay to get into just to climb stairs and look out so we didn't do it.

We walked around a lot and the shopping and esp the Straw Market are disappointing.

Ponta Delgada

The Azores are naturally stunning beautiful. We took the

Big Truck excursion. Don't do it! The guide was very annoying.

She talked non stop without a breath between sentences for

5 straight hours and we were her captives. ANd what she had to

say was extremely boring. It was as though she was teaching a

history class. Every sentence started with, in 1832, and then in 1749...

etc. We stopped at what was billed as a pineapple plantation for

half an hour. It was 4 greenhouses with small pineapples inside which

you could see in about 5 minutesl The guide talked and talked.

We couldn't wait to get back to the ship. It was the biggest waste

of money we have ever spent. If I could give a sub zero rating, I would.
