After cruising for over 30 years with 37 plus cruises on many different cruise lines, this was the first and most definitely the last with NCL. If there was a tick-box for very poor, instead of just poor it would have been used.

Taking a deposit and then cancelling the scheduled ports as listed on the itinerary is nothing short of misrepresentation, especially as it appears that NCL do this quite frequently.

No reason at all was given for cancelling the two ports in Morocco, it was rumoured it was because of increased port charges. No adequate reason was given for cancelling the call at Cape Verde, the Captain said this was for 'optimisation', in other words, to save the ship fuel. The reason given for cancelling Banjul was, according to the Captain, due to seasonally low water in the Banjul River, which could have rendered the ship unable to leave at departure time. However, this should have been known about by your cruise planners as Sea Condition tables showing wave height, swell direction and periodicity are well-known and published. In fact the tide tables for that day showed nothing unusual for that are.
