The Solstice is definitely showing her age. She needs a refurb especially the furniture. The chairs are extremely heavy to move and are very uncomfortable to sit it and even tougher to get out of. The rooms are well laid out and more than ample space for storage. Embarkation and disembarkation were seamless which was most appreciated albeit due to some unforeseen issues, embarkation was delayed for hours. Unfortunately we missed Lahaina due to the fires last year and had an overnight in Honolulu. So only two islands, but still very enjoyable. The 5 days at sea went by very quickly and the seas were very calm. Food was plentiful and excellent and a good variety available in all venues. Tuscan Grill was exceptional and the food was a solid 10 out of 10 and a great way to celebrate my birthday. I would have given this cruise a solid 5 were it not for the condition of the furniture and the missed island of Maui.

Port Reviews

Hilo is a great port, however two days was one day too many to be there.

Kona is a tender port and I am not a fan of getting to shore in one of the life boats. Great island but limited on things to do. Again an overnight was unnecessary.

This is a very bustling city and very busy. There are so many things to do here that you need time and money to do them.
