We left from Ayrshire in Scotland the day before the cruise, and stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn Swindon, and then drove to Southampton the next day,We had complimentary parking at the port, that went very smoothly, then boarded Ventura about twenty minutes later after very quick security and check in,when we got to our cabin all our baggage was outside our room,we were greeted by our Steward Named Clifton who said he would come back and erect the bed settee for our granddaughter, and dismantle it in the morning when we went to breakfast (he did this for the whole two weeks) Great Steward. We cruised to Spain and Portugal,Gibraltar

Ventura is showing its age (15 years old)but still a great ship.all in all it was a good 2 week cruise(even considering the fortnight was really bad weather)I would still cruise with P&O cruises, but in better time of year hopefully with plenty of son
