We decided to book a cruise with Cunard again after a wonderful past experience in 2017 on the Queen Mary 2. Although our recent trip had a great itinerary, unfortunately the ship, food, beverages, entertainment & service did not measure up. Everything was ordinary, even though we paid dearly for a penthouse suite in Queen's Grill. Cunard also did not honor their own All-Inclusive Beverage Package, which aggravated us the entire trip. Once on board, we were given a set of limitations including dollar amount per drink, which meant we were drinking terrible wines & watered down cocktails unless we paid extra. The Purser merely defended their position. Cunard is resting on their laurels & has now lost 2 customers. We will never take another Cunard cruise again. There were a few positives: The spa and salon were excellent, & the concierge & our butler were very professional & helpful. Otherwise, we were disappointed with everything else.

Port Reviews

Interesting & good size town to explore on your own. Modern art museum had a small collection but was interesting.

This beautiful city is on par with Kyoto. Beautiful, traditional homes & tea houses with gorgeous ambiance. Public transportation was a bit challenging but we succeeded.

We signed up for a shore excursion for the best views of Mt. Fuji on 2 levels & we were not disappointed!
