Getting on in years and wanted to try what some considered the best in cruising. So we booked a Grand Suite on the new Regent Grandeur. We are the type of cruiser that no longer bothers getting off any ship. And as Will Rogers said "The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for." Well get use to standing in line on Regent Seven Seas. For those willing to splurge $30,000 for a 10 day Caribbean cruise with no 'special' attention to dining, no reserved special events (Grand Barbecue), chair hogging on the pool deck, a butler that has nothing to offer other than retrieving a drink, than this is the cruise line for you. Totally unimpressed and removed ourselves from all Regent Seven Seas social media groups. Only the cabin was the best we have had on any cruise ship, so far. It did have a sewage smell from the master bath, but the stewardess took care of it immediately. The Captain did close our balcony for 24 hours and the staff captain was kind enough not to varnish the railings when we complained while we stayed in this cabin.
