Crew Salute Party

We’ve spent the last year “comparing” luxury cruise lines, sailing in the Retreat on Celebrity several times (including the maiden voyage of the new Ascent) and testing out Regent’s brand new Seven Seas Grandeur . . . While we enjoyed them all, we believe our 2 voyages on Seabourn Ovation to be significantly better in almost every respect. The Ovation, launched in 2018, was the “oldest ship” we’ve sailed on, yet proved to be the most comfortable, with a “nap ready “ sofa in our basic Verandah Suite and a wonderful bathroom!

Food was consistently very good to excellent at every single venue (6 options) and service, while not perfect every time, proved to be attentive and extremely flexible. We found that you frequently needed to ask if you wanted something special, but once requested, they hardly ever said “no” (only once that I can recall).

We love Seabourn’s attention to the small details that, in many cases, create those special Seabourn Moments that their advertising claims. I’m sure we’ll continue to try a few other luxury brands, but Seabourn will now get the vast majority of my cruising dollars!
