I did two connected cruises, first a Panama Canal Transit and second a full ship charter with Bare Necessities Tour and Travel to the Western Caribbean. The Pride has been refurbished, mainly public area's. Fitness centre is very good, light and modern now. I love the size of the ship. It can hold approx 2000 guests and that is just OK for me. Big enough for the entertainment and small enough for good quiet moments. During the Panama Canal Transit a historian was on board who explained the history of the Panama Canal. Very good and enriching. The Cruise line organised scuba trip at Cayman was well organised. The pristine blue waters of the Cayman Island are not to be missed if you have a scuba license. At the port time between the two cruises I did a self organised excursion to Tampa's Cuban immigrant area Ybor City. You can see all cigar factories and go there with the historical electric street car.

In Tampa and re-embarkation was very easy through the priority embarkation line.

Food in the main dining room was OK, but not the best. Could have a little bit more variation and less cheep ingredients. Especially if you are more than one week on board.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Small and friendly. Good options for snorkel and scuba trips. Nice laid-back bars.
