This is our fifth journey with VIKING CRUISES, but this is our first time to try an Ocean cruise. My husband and I sailed the Bordeaux wine river cruise in 2017 with friends, the Danube and Rhine Christmas market river cruises in 2019 and 2021 to celebrate my birthday, the Lyon and Provence river cruise with friends in 2022. We thought River cruises felt safer and more intimate with just 200 passengers and with the shore always in sight. But we wanted to see the aurora borealis and at the same time experience the stress-free relaxing vacation we experienced in our river cruises, and so we finally decided to try ocean cruise with Viking as it still has the small cruise ship size we are comfortable with. And how happy we were to go for it!

Our In Search of the Northern Lights Cruise via Viking Venus exceeded our expectations and made us feel like we just experienced the ultimate enriching relaxing vacation in all aspects of traveling. We felt safe, pampered, well taken care of by the whole Viking Team. The size of the cruise ship was just right, and the design was top notch, providing spaces and amenities for both fun and relaxation, better than being in a five star hotel because the views were always spectacular day and night, providing visual feast with changing backdrop as we cruised along.
