our 21st cruise. 7th on Celebrity going back to the Century. Sadly our cruising days are over. We booked late so got an inside room on deck 2. It was dirty, missing towels and Kleenex unit our 2nd day. There was no Captain Club welcome, nothing. The ship is worn. How is it a 23 year old ship is still sailing when the beautiful Century got scraped years ago? We easily got into anytime dining at 5:30--Sang was our waiter and did a decent job...but service was not what it once was. Too many drunk, loud parties of 6 or more sitting among tables for 2. Our biggest disaster was day 2 not being able to dock in Bimini due to "crosswinds". So Summit sailed into the abyss by losing power 2 separate times, shutting down water in staterooms. There aren't any shops worth spending extra money on. Usually the perfume/cosmetics shop has a nice assortment but they were out of everything except the usual perfume. Other shops were standard, the typical Iffy nonsense and watch stores. No one was buying. Food was ok, I stuck with meats as the chicken, fish or Indian veggie entree didn't sound any good. From our stateroom we could hear CONSTANTLY piped in musak. There is no reason to have music continuously early am-through 11:00 pm. Our sheets (ripped & torn) were never changed (maybe typical for a 5-day) and the blankets were dingy brown. Embarkation & Disembarkation went swiftly. There also were tons of kids/teens on this sailing--late spring break?

Key West

found a bookstore and then went back on the ship. Skipped going ashore in Nassau as did a LOT of other people.
