We bid on an upgrade and were successful. Initially we were in a penthouse suite on Riviera deck. Room was too noisy to sleep so we requested a move. We were moved to Aloha deck at the back of the ship and unfortunately it was actually worse than the previous room. The guest service supervisor was rude and dismissive and told us we expected too much and should have spent more money on a better ship or we could sail with a different cruise line. The staff and officers on the ship seemed frustrated and tired and we heard the words ‘ I am sorry for your experience’ a number of times during our trip. The ship is as tired as the crew and it may be time to retire this particular ship. The toilet system had a number of issues while we were sailing which is always an unwelcome situation particularly when the trip is already less than stellar. The entertainment was lacklustre and brief and aside from the piano player we rarely went to any shows. This was my husbands first time to Hawaii and we really wish we had just taken the money we spent on this cruise and arranged our own trip to the islands.

Port Reviews

La Bufadora was very interesting but the walk through all the vendors to the blow hole was very reminiscent of Tijuana. Not a good thing.
