This was the best cruise of our life. Viking really does everything right: All-inclusive pricing, almost no extras (some excursions are extra), absolutely delicious food every meal, almost no sense of crowding, fantastic destinations. We enjoyed every single day. Got to see some bucket-list sites, notably Borobudur, the largest Buddhist monument on Earth. Staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. Ship was pretty new (6 years), and everything worked perfectly. No casinos, no kids, great atmosphere. Food was truly outstanding. Even the casual World Cafe was excellent. The Restaurant had less variety but slightly better food and, of course, waiter service. The Chef’s Table was a difficult reservation to get, but we ate there three times in 12 days; each night was different and extraordinarily delicious, among the best meals we ever had — and on a ship! It was amazing. The entertainment was good. The speakers were even better. Our cabin stewards were attentive but not intrusive. We booked two more Viking cruises.
