Very nice ship, with lots of space per passenger, and quiet places to sit with views of the water. Very good service in cabin and restaurants. Disappointing entertainment; Lincoln Center no longer offered, and main stage entertainment was mediocre. Boarding process was uncomfortable, due to 2 ships at pier in San Diego, forcing us to wait 1.5-2.5 hours in the cold, rainy weather until we finally were able to get into the cruise terminal. Departure had good on-board customs/immigration clearance. Holland-America refused my request to print airline boarding pass, saying I needed to buy their (expensive) Internet package simply to print a boarding pass. Their sponsored shore excursion to Todos Santos was overpriced and boring, except the guide was very good. Summary: Nice ship and very good service from ship staff, when Holland-America's policies permit them (boarding pass printing now an exception). Entertainment needs significant upgrading to compete with other major cruise lines.
