This 35 day Hawaii/French Polynesia cruise was our longest ever and our 19th cruise overall on many different lines (Carnival, Celebrity, Cunard, NCL, Princess and Royal Caribbean).

We flew from Ontario to San Diego 3 days before the cruise and stayed at the Old Town Inn which was a great location to tour the city. We walked to historic Old Town and took the trolly tour to all the popular tourist attractions which is a great way to see the whole city. We ate at the Coyote Café in Old Town for dinner which was really good!. The second day we went to the San Diego Zoo for the full day. Nice layout and grounds with lots of animals.

Embarkation –The embarkation was a little confusing. We arrived at the pier around 11 am and were told that only 5 star mariners could board, then 4 star, etc. so we waited on the boardwalk with other passengers for over an hour. Finally got in line and waited in the terminal for about ½ hour to board.

Port Reviews

Hilo

Nice port. Did the waterfall, lava caves, etc. tour which was a nice way to see part of the island.

Honolulu

Nice port. Did a Luau at Sea Life Park which was excellent.

Kauai

Went to the hotel beach for a beach day!

Moorea

Our favourite island of the cruise and one of our favourite's in the world! Beautiful, lush, friendly ~ paradise on earth!

Nuku Hiva

Walked around the atoll and went to the hotel with the restaurant/bar Cafe Requin (Shark Cafe) and had a Tahitian beer. Snorkeled and swam in the beautiful clear water and saw a nurse shark swim by!

Raiatea

Loved Raiatea - did the ARE authentic polynesian experience tour which was awesome!

Tahiti (Papeete)

Shopped in Papeete and did a boat tour which was not the best but saw a turtle, a ray and some spinner dolphins.
