Seabourn Ovation was a very good experience as we like a peaceful cruise, excellent service and do not require many activities. The food and service in the main restaurant has greatly improved since our last cruise and is outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the speciality nights at The Colonade. The new restaurant Solis had just opened. It has a great ambience and spacious seating area but the food was a disappointment and they really need to focus on flavour rather than the theatre of the service. The cabin was peaceful, spacious and convenient on deck 6. We are not fans of the pool deck and wished there were more sunbeds in the shade around the ship as most were unusable in the heat. Our only complaint was the 18% service charge at the spa which is annoying and unexpected as Seabourn advertise no gratuities. We will think twice before using the spa again.
