Our first Viking Cruise was canceled due to COVID. So when my friend from Kindergarten and her husband invited us to join them, we immediately said yes. The Alsvin Ship cruise and crew were amazing. Every crew member, the hosts, the servers, the receptionists, the housekeepers, the chefs, the captains, the tour guides were so very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Prior to embarking on the ship, we added the two days pre-extension in Paris which was entirely on land. My suggestion for Viking for that initial portion of the trip, would be to offer optional tours (at a cost) to The Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, and a dinner/music cruise down the Seine. Our room was comfortable and had plenty of storage space. We had a stateroom that had a veranda where we could sit outside. It was just lovely. The food was delicious and plentiful and so were the drinks. So happy we took this trip.
