I am Diamond with RCCL and have enjoyed many cruises with them and other Lines. My cruise with Independence of the Seas was uneventful in that everything was pretty much what I have come to expect and enjoy with RCCL. here are some thoughts:

High lights the assistant cruise director from the Philippines was hilarious and ran the game and contests in an outstanding fashion - we has a show all by himself. The dining staff, bar staff and room attendants up to the high standards we have always enjoyed.

Low lights: Fish and Ships - how do they expect you to eat fish with a small wooden stick? And at the same venue the lobster for $12 was outrageously disgusting. A tiny sliver of lobster inside a Hugh amount of breaded coating...The lobster when you found it was chewy and nasty. We raised this issue with the head waiter in the dining room who made things rights with a complimentary lobster at dinner - but hopefully they will drop lobster from the Fish and Ships menu.
