We went on this cruise to see if Carnival had lifted their game since our trans-Pacific cruise last year. Some things were an improvement, but some sadly not.

To start with (and I know it's probably beyond Carnival's control, but it's part of the experience) the boarding process was heavenly compared with last year's three hour queue. We dropped off our large bag, then walked into the terminal, no lines anywhere, we just walked up to an agent and did the necessary stuff to get on. So far so good.

Our room wasn't ready so we took our carry on bag up to the buffet to grab a bite and while the time away until we could drop our stuff off in the room and settle in.

Good, unlike last time our shower didn't block up after the first minute, and I actually had time to wash and condition my hair without flooding the bathroom.
