This was our second Windstar cruise, but will be our last. Our first experience with Windstar was excellent. Rooms are spacious, service and the people are terrific, and the food is very good. All the same on this experience as well.

However, our Panama Canal cruise was largely ruined by the complete lack of air conditioning in most public spaces. It was simply miserable to be anywhere near the front of the boat, and some nights even the guest rooms were too hot. From speaking with the staff and then reading other reviews, it is very clear this is not a new issue and has gone unresolved for some time.

The cocoa farm shore excursion in Boca del Toro was also materially overpriced and very disappointing, but we could have overlooked it — if we had a cool place to retreat to afterwards.
