We just had one of the worst cruises ever.

Our boat was stuck in port in Ushuaia for two days before leaving for the “Cruise of a lifetime”. To Antarctica. We keep being put off we were originally leaving at 6pm on the 24th. We sat there until the 26th. No excursions nothing to occupy our time. The boat we were on Atlas World Traveller had made no alternate plans for us and when kept tell the passengers we would be leaving soon. Go into town and come back for dinner. This trip was very expensive and so to be left like that in port and then to be told our time in Antarctica would only be two days was shocking.

If the company had arranged a day or two of touring while they worked on the boat this may have been easy to forgive but they did nothing but feed and house us. We left two days late turning a 8 day cruise into a 6 day cruise with four days in Drakes Passage where thank goodness it was calm. We lost out on the excursions on land and seeing a lot more. It was quite disappointing. They took about 30 passengers off our boat and switched them to another boat or two, so they got the full trip. Which left the rest of us feeling even worse about the situation. They got many excursions. We on the other hand got nothing.

Cabin Review

Our room was very nice and we had all we needed. But who wants to spend forever in their room?
