We have cruised quite a bit over the years and this one amazing ship. It is large (we had 7026 total guests and a crew of 2000+. We had an inside balcony at the aft end of the ship overlooking the arcade area. We could see the carousel, the water show and the gulf looking back. Not an ideal ocean view but not bad. At least we could sit on the balcony.

The food overall was very good. On lobster night you only get one tail. A second tail is $16.95. The main dining room service team was amazing. We had Rosario and Polvin, both from India and they were great.

We had three people in the cabin and the sofa sleeper is now just the sofa cushion with a mattress pad and a bed sleeve vs the traditional pull-out sofa sleeper. I found this to be more comfortable for me and it made the room less crowded with just the sofa cushion made into a bed. We had a wonderful cabin steward named Krishna. We never had to ask for things twice like extra towels or ice for the ice bucket.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

We went to the Crazy Lobster on the main beach area. We purchased taxi tickets ($4pp each way) outside of the main area and we did not buy anything in the bazaar area. It was cheaper to pay for what you wanted right at the beach, 5 small beers were $7 and the massage was only $20 plus tip. The food was good too and not expensive. The water was great and the beach was clean.

Cozumel

We don't typically book shore excursions on the ships due to the high cost. This time we did book the Catamaran/Snorkel trip on the ship with Fury Catamarans. We had to muster at 7:30 and then we were led dockside to the Catamaran. Each one held 60 people. Everybody had to wear a life vest. Snorkelling was excellent but only 40 minutes. Then off to their private beach with free beer and Margaritas. Free drings on the Cat after snorkeling. A great time and Fernando and his team on Boat 5 were the best too.
